Comiskey Park. The final score was the
Missouri Bombers 4,
the Golden
Retrievers 3.
Missouri scored 2
runs in the 6th inning. After two outs
Johnny Dickshot got
things rolling
when he hit a single. Hank Greenberg
followed next and he
cleared the
fences for a two-run home run. Golden
had a chance to come back
in the 9th but
they came up short.
The win went to
Red Barrett(1-0) who allowed 2 runs in 7 innings.
Barrett got
help from Mike
Ryba who was credited with his 1st save.
Van Mungo(0-1) was
hit with the
loss. He allowed 4 hits and 2 walks in 7
innings.
