With the hometown crowd on the edge of their seats, Missouri Bombers came from

behind to top Delaware Destroyers., 4 to 3.

 

Missouri had the game winning rally in the 9th inning as they scored 4 runs on

4 base hits.  The critical plate appearance was by Danny Litwhiler who came

through for the home fans when he clubbed a three-run home run.  Both teams

finished the game with 7 hits. 

 

The winning pitcher was Blix Donnelly(1-1) who allowed no runs in 2 innings.

Allie Reynolds(0-1) suffered the loss.  He surrendered 4 runs and 7 hits in 8

and 1/3 innings. 

 

'Wow, that was fun!', Donnelly said following the game. 'Once in a while you

play a game that reminds you just why you got into this business to begin

with!'
