Suwanee
never
recovered after Savanna took the lead in the bottom of the 2nd
inning
with 2
runs on 3 hits. Larry Doby led off and
started the attack as
he
drew a
walk. After an out was recorded, Pete
Reiser came to bat and
ripped
a one-base
hit. One out later, Ostrowski then
singled scoring a run.
Ostrowski
took
second on the throw. Spahn came up and
he ripped a single
scoring
the final
run of the inning. Savanna had 11 hits
for the night.
Spahn(1-1) got the victory, allowing 3
runs for the
game. Mel Parnell(1-1) was
charged
with the
loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 8
